My name is Ryan and I am an amateur astrophotographer. I have an immense passion for getting under dark clear skies and taking images of the universe. It started many years ago as an initial hobby in photography and grew into what its become today.
I find the hobby of astrophotography but exciting and challenging. I quickly noticed didn't seem to be a way to get all the information you needed to from one source. Early on I was constantly searching for 'how to' content and found much of the information online both helpful and confusing at times. Often there was conflicting information and I didn't know who to trust.
The goal of my YouTube Channel DarkRangersInc and our growing community online is to alleviate some of that confusing. By making videos that I wish I had went starting the hobbies. No one can create perfect content and this hobby is CONSTANTLY changing. So it's my goal to share what is and has been working for me and keep everyone up to date as things change.
While it is impossible to have the answers to every questions my goal is to keep learning new things every day so I can become a stronger resource to the community and ultimately have answers for most questions. Or at least have a trusted expert or resource I can point someone too.
I am also vetting certain companies that produce both high quality equipment AND provide excellent customer service. Meaning they have a phone number and email that is answered or responded to in a timely manner. The companies I recommend will stand behind what they sell and help you avoid some of the major issues I had with some very well known names in the industry who don't take the pride in serving their customer you would hope for.
